Strong foundations built right from the ground up for your home or commercial project.

Your foundation is the most important part of any structure. Everything else sits on top of it, so it needs to be done right the first time. A properly installed concrete slab provides a solid, level base that won't shift, crack, or settle over time. Whether you're building a new home, adding a room, or putting up a shed, the quality of your foundation work determines how well everything else holds up.
We've poured foundations for homes, garages, shops, and commercial buildings throughout Oakley and the surrounding area. We understand local soil conditions and know how to prepare the site for long-term stability. Our process includes proper excavation, compaction, grading, and reinforcement to meet building codes and ensure your foundation performs exactly as it should.
Foundation work is all about the details. Here's how we make sure your slab is built to last.
We start by excavating to the right depth and removing any organic material or unstable soil. Then we bring in compacted fill material and create a level base. Proper grading ensures water drains away from the foundation instead of pooling underneath it.
We install rebar or wire mesh according to engineering specs to give your slab the strength it needs. Forms are set to precise elevations so the finished slab is perfectly level. For residential work, we typically pour slabs 4-6 inches thick. For commercial projects, we go thicker based on the load requirements.
We pour concrete in sections, making sure it's properly consolidated and free of air pockets. The surface is screeded, floated, and finished to create a smooth, level surface. We add control joints in strategic locations to manage any cracking that might occur as the concrete cures.
Proper curing is critical for strength. We protect the fresh concrete and keep it moist for several days so it reaches full strength. This step is often rushed or skipped by less experienced contractors, but it makes a huge difference in the long-term performance of your foundation.
Oakley's soil conditions require specific foundation techniques. We've worked on hundreds of slabs in this area and know exactly how to prepare the ground for stable, long-lasting foundations. We also understand local building codes and pull the necessary permits for your project.
Whether you're building new construction or adding to an existing structure, we make sure your foundation meets or exceeds code requirements. We work with inspectors throughout the process so there are no surprises or delays.
